What are Quick Picks?

Quick Picks at Menlo Park are typically new and high demand items that do not get pulled to fulfill Holds. They stay on the shelf so that anyone who comes into the library has a chance to borrow new releases without having to go on a long waitlist.
Quick Pick books check out for two weeks and cannot be renewed. DVDs/Blurays check out for one week and do not renew. This way they circulate quickly and give more people a chance to borrow that new and popular item!
